Construction Training Programs Grant Opportunity

This is an excellent source for funding our region’s commercial / industrial construction training projects (grants focusing on residential construction will not be funded). The due date for 2018 Craft Training Grant Guidelines is May 25, 2018.

In 2017, the Craft Training Board disbursed $1.1 million in craft training grants to construction trade programs around the state. The first round of grants reached more than 500 students in multiple construction trades. The Craft Training Act, which collects one dollar per $1,000 of project value on the general construction building permit on public works, should generate at least $5 million annually for skills or craft training.

Now is the time to prepare to apply for grants to be awarded for the fall of 2018.  Grant Toolbox
