Enterprise Mobility Foundation has given a grant of $3,000 to West AlabamaWorks in support of Educator Workforce Academy.

Educator Workforce Academy is a supported guide to help connect educators and the workforce in better preparation to educate the youth.

Educators in K-12 schools work in a year long training session starting in October and aim to help them better the students for a career after graduation.

“EWA helps educators see the great career opportunities available in West Alabama,” Tonya Mills, Education and Employment Project Manager, said in a statement. “Students depend on educators to share opportunities with them and once educators know what is available in our area they can connect students with those opportunities.”

After the training session, educators will create a plan on how they will teach their students about the workforce and better the career education programs in schools.
