West Alabama Works hosts hiring event

MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - Looking for a job can be a job all on its own, that’s why West Alabama Works hosted a hiring event to help those looking for work in the community.

Job seekers in the area gathered in Demopolis for an opportunity to speak with several employers from around west Alabama.

West Alabama Works partnered with many of the local businesses across west Alabama to make this event happen with the goal of keeping the people of west Alabama employed.

“West Alabama Works partnered with our local businesses across W Alabama to put on out hiring events such as this one today. Our goal is to keep people living in West Alabama working in West Alabama and also to promote the companies here so that we can have a productive environment.” said West Alabama Works representative Tammi Holley.

West Alabama Works looks forward to inviting high school seniors to their next hiring event taking place on April 10th in Tuscaloosa.
