New Partnerships Kickoff the School Year

New Partnerships Kickoff the School Year

Four new Adopt-A-School partnerships formed shortly after the start of school. Each partnership will incorporate at least one of the four initiatives of the Pillars of Education: Literacy, Character, Elevating Educators, and Career Pathways.

Alabama Power adopted STARS Academy.  The partnership will focus on three of the Pillars of Education initiatives, Elevating Educators, Career Pathways, and Character.  Alabama Power will provide incentives for teachers and character development for students.  The partnership will also provide career awareness opportunities for students and work with agencies currently partnering with the school, such as Junior Achievement, Habitat for Humanity, Tuscaloosa’s One Place, etc.
