Westlawn Students Participate in Phifer PRIDE

AAS Adopter, Phifer Incorporated hosted a group of 8th grade students from Westlawn Middle School for their annual job shadow day, Phifer PRIDE. PRIDE is an acronym for Polite, Respect, Improvement, Determination, and Enthusiasm.

The students selected completed an application with an essay on how and why they demonstrate the aspects of PRIDE. During the job shadow event, the students met with various team members from different work areas of Phifer and learned about the job responsibilities and education background of the team members. The students went on a tour of the manufacturing plant, and learned about the manufacturing process of their adopter as well as other job opportunities.

After a fun day of learning, they were then treated with a delicious lunch and received a gift goodie bag for their accomplishments. It was a great day for all involved.
