(WVUA 23 News) Senior high schoolers from around West Alabama were the stars Wednesday night at Tuscaloosa Career and Technology Academy during West Alabama Regional Signing Day.

(105.1 The Block)- Dozens of high school seniors in West Alabama have decided on their career paths after graduation. The number of seniors is expected to increase in the coming days as more make their decisions to enter apprenticeships or full-time employment.

WVUA 23- The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama held its ninth annual diversity summit, titled “Diversity is Now.” 

Mental health advocate, professor and diversity, equity and inclusion consultant Dr. Nadia Richardson was the keynote speaker.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WBRC Fox 6) - Teenagers looking for jobs while they’re still in high school got an early start on their careers as a group that handles workforce development in West Alabama organized an event where they could interview with dozens of companies in a matter of minutes.

(The Patch) TUSCALOOSA, AL — WOW 2.0 held at Shelton State Community College resulted in 610 contingent job offers given out to high school seniors from eight counties out of the nine-county west Alabama region.

WVUA 23- West AlabamaWorks‘ latest Worlds of Work 2.0 event, focused on getting job seekers and job providers connected, resulted in more than 600 job offers for area high school seniors. A total of 25 companies looking for employees and 230 high schoolers looking for jobs met at the event, and by the end of the event those companies had given out 610 contingent job offers.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WBRC) - With summer is still months away, a West Alabama group is already making sure jobs are available for teenagers looking for work over those summer months. West AlabamaWorks! created the IGNITE program more than a year ago.

Area Development News Desk- Canada-based Epsilon Industries, a manufacturer of modular construction systems, plans to establish operations in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The approximately $3 million project is expected to create 180 jobs.
